About 50 people gathered on the corner of Blackstone and Nees avenues for a Transgender
Day of Remembrance rally and protest on Nov. 20. Trans-E-Motion organized the sunset gathering in which participants took a stand against anti-transgender violence by demanding justice for fallen transgender community members. Local community organizers sought to use the opportunity to raise awareness about safety for transgender and non-conforming identities and to honor the lives of transgender individuals who died from murder or suicide.
