Fresno Fuego Is Back!

Fresno Fuego Is Back!

The Central Valley’s new United Soccer League (USL) team, Fuego FC, played its first home game on May 7 against Greenville Triumph SC, tying 1-1. Fuego FC steps into the space left by the Fresno Foxes, which played at Chukchansi Park in 2018 and 2019.

The Foxes moved to Monterey, where they are competing in the USL as Monterey Bay FC. The Fuego, however, acquired two of the Foxes’ stars, Christian Chaney and Renato Bustamante. Fuego FC’s games are being played at Fresno State’s soccer field.

The Fuego will be playing the following home games in June: June 11 versus the Chattanooga Red Wolves, June 18 versus FC Tucson and June 25 versus North Carolina FC.
