On Aug. 5, the Chattanooga Red Wolves came out to California to play Central Valley Fuego FC. In the first half, there was a back and forth in front of the Chattanooga goal with a couple of shots by Fuego players and rebounds by the Chattanooga defense, until Chattanooga’s Manual Madrid put the ball in his own net.

Fuego FC then held the lead until the 90th minute, when the Red Wolves scored a tying goal. During eight minutes of injury time, Fuego FC tried everything to gain back the lead. Finally, what looked for a moment to be a winning shot by a Fuego FC player bounced off the post. It was a dramatic finish to a lively game.

Fuego FC is looking at several home games in September: against Lexington FC on Sept. 10, facing Northern Colorado Hailstorm on Sept. 16 and versus North Carolina FC on Sept. 20. All the games begin at 7 p.m. at the Fresno State Soccer Stadium. For more information, visit fuegofc.com.
