Gandhi’s Anniversary
Dr. Sudarshan Kapoor, right, and Assembly Member Ash Kalra hold a proclamation of the Assembly honoring the 150th birthday of Mahatma Gandhi. The proclamation was sponsored by Kalra, who is the first Indian-American Assembly Member.

“Human Rights, Civil Rights and Labor Rights” was the name of the 2019 program of the Human Rights Coalition of the Central Valley, which was held on Dec. 7 at Fresno State. The event celebrated the 150th anniversary of the birth of Mahatma Gandhi.
