Fresno residents gathered on April 14 in Radio Park to defend science for the common good and its role in policy and society. Science has faced increasing threats at the federal, state and local levels from right-wing influences that prioritize money over facts and people.

Marchers sent a clear message: “We will hold our elected and appointed officials responsible for enacting equitable, evidence-based policies that serve all communities. Science will not be silenced.”

The march reflects a community united to defend science because “science belongs to us all.”
