A New Reality
By Susan Schmale

Hi, Hannah. I wanted to email you after reading the first issue published with you as editor, but then “life happened” as usual, and I had no time. I don’t have time right now to give you the kudos you deserve, but I know how important it is for you and The Community Alliance to know people DO appreciate what you do!!
Your piece about violence against women/Trump/HRC was excellent! (“Disrespect for humanity… What the world tries to do to women everyday through MICROAGRESSIONS…” were just 2 points you made that were very powerful!)
Every month there are so many good pieces in your paper, it just amazes me and the eclectic writings are perfect! I do want to mention the poetry by incarcerated individuals is amazing! Tim Young’s, “Putting Mice Before Men” was an incredible message that was much needed! Please thank him!
I think we are all looking forward to this insanity to go another direction after tomorrow… If we all stand strong and realize we are all connected, this can be the beginning of a whole new reality!
Thanks for all you do, and know we are all here sending positive energy your way!
Satire in Community Alliance
By George B. Kauffman

I have no doubt that Jacob Clark, a newcomer to these pages, meant well in his satirical article, “The Real Truth behind Hillary Clinton.” However, the article can undoubtedly be used by proponents on the Alt-Right to attack Hillary Clinton and endorse Donald Trump. In the worse scenario these nefarious manipulators will certainly cite this article (without the satire” label) to prove that even a progressive newspaper endorses Donald Trump and wants to “put Hillary in prison.”
Marketers, corporation executives, politicians, governments, royalty, the wealthy elite (1%), network anchors, salespersons, merchants, many celebrities and the powerful persons who control society have known that unthinking people can be manipulated since ancient times. “Two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I am not yet completely sure about the universe” is a statement attributed to Albert Einstein by psychiatrist and psychotherapist “Fritz” Perls.
For more information on agnotology (formerly agnatology), the study of culturally induced ignorance or doubt, especially the publication of inaccurate or misleading scientific data see my article, “People Are Stupid!” George B.
