This is the June/July Community Alliance newspaper. This is the month Mike Rhodes became editor. This followed a brief power struggle over who controlled the paper. The FTMK Central Labor Council wanted full control over the content of the paper. We argued for the board to have 1/2 of the members from organized labor and the other 1/2 from the progressive community. The CLC pulled all financial support and re-started their publication – The Valley Labor Citizen. Our editor John Veen left the CA and became editor of the VLC. The Community Alliance reached out to the community for support. They found all the support needed to continue the paper.
