Hopefully, on Nov. 6 We’ll Feel Relieved
The possibility of Donald Trump winning the Nov. 5 election is chilling. According to press reports, he promised a position to billionaire Elon Musk, who is aggressively campaigning for the Republican ticket.
Musk, owner of the “X” platform (formerly Twitter), is spreading fake news and censoring certain posts supporting Democratic candidate Kamala Harris. And it was recently reported that he has a scheme to pay some voters to commit to the Republican ticket. In other words, he is buying votes.
Moreover, Trump promised a position to Robert Kennedy Jr. in exchange for his electoral support. Kennedy is a lunatic who denies the value of vaccines, and his presence in a prominent political position could be a disaster for our well-being.
Both Trump and Musk have expressed their visceral rejection of unions and workers’ rights, including increases in the minimum wage.
A second Trump administration would be a disaster not only politically but also economically and socially for the United States.
Trump even openly expressed that he would seek a way to govern without paying attention to the Constitution and Congress and that he would attack his political adversaries “even with the army.”
Trump wants to become a dictator not only for his ego but also to achieve the impunity necessary to avoid jail time.
There is no moral—or political—justification for voting for Trump.
Hopefully, on Nov. 6 we’ll feel relieved with the nightmare of a second Trump administration behind us.
Till next month.
