No Kings Day, March 28, was the largest national protest in American history, bringing out as many as 9 million people in more than 3,300 separate actions. In Fresno, more than 5,000 came out to the sidewalks of Blackstone Avenue between Alluvial and Nees avenues, a stretch of about half a mile. A smaller demonstration in Clovis brought out several hundred.
The most striking feature of the demonstration were the signs held aloft by protesters. They were mostly handcrafted and expressed many tendencies and feelings within the resistance movement.

One said āAll of my outrage cannot fit on this sign,ā while another said, āWhen tyranny becomes law, rebellion becomes duty!!ā
āIām an introvert,ā said another, āIād like to be home with my cats, but I hate Fascism more!ā
And then there was one woman whose sign read, āAmerica if we donāt hold signs, thatās not a good sign.ā
