Election season is rolling through, a season we are all familiar with in Fresno. Alongside the two-and-a-half-ish seasons we get, the endless summers and the intermittent weeks of spring, we see new front yard signs with names and faces of new and returning candidates. All have messages and ambitions to do what they think is right for our community.
As always, we want to keep our readers informed and aware. In this issue, we have a number of pieces that discuss various ongoing races in Fresno County. Our mission is to continue to help build a progressive movement in the Central Valley. To do so we need to know who is campaigning for local leadership and what they are campaigning on.
My main hope for you, the reader, is that after reading, you find yourself encouraged. Perhaps you’ll help with one of the campaigns, or maybe you don’t like any of them and feel emboldened to do your own political work.
Whatever you decide, I will consider my mission complete if the Community Alliance motivates you toward greater change in the Central Valley. We’ll be here to tell your story when you do.
