BUILDING A WORLD WITHOUT GUN VIOLENCE

Enough Gun Violence /Brady Greater Fresno (EGV/BGF) is hosting this community event.  EGV/BGF is the Fresno chapter of Brady United. Brady United is  America’s oldest gun safety and gun violence prevention organization. BRADY works to decrease gun violence — suicide, homicide, unintentional shootings, and mass shootings — through common sense solutions. This event will have guest speakers who are experts on gun safety legislation.  Topics will include:

1. Identifying which  licensed gun dealers in the state, and in the City and County of Fresno have been cited most frequently for not following Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) regulations regarding performing background checks, making straw man sales and selling to individuals who are prohibited from owning guns.  
2. There will be information on which gun dealers the City of Fresno uses to purchase guns and ammo for the Fresno Police Department (FPD).  
3. Finally there will be discussion about how to get the City to not purchase guns and ammo from gun dealers that fail to follow the ATF regulations.
