Social Justice Warrior, Beverly Marie Fitzpatrick, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024. Born to Doris and Wayne Sisk on April 26th, 1948, Beverly made an impact on everyone she met. Devoted wife and widow of Dennis Anthony Fitzpatrick, loving sister to Jane Cramer and caring mother to Kimberly, Lisa, Kevin, Tamra, and Kyle. As a grandmother of 17, and great grandmother of 6, she continued to be there for every member of the Fitzpatrick family. She touched the hearts of her entire school community, and for those who knew her as a kindergarten teacher. After retiring, Beverly put her progressive ideals into action by becoming a homeless and social justice advocate by helping start Wings Advocacy Fresno, and Dakota Eco Garden. Her passions for volunteering were never ending at Peace Fresno, Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF), Fresno Center for Nonviolence, Central Valley Progressive PA, UU Social Justice Committee and Community Alliance. Her reach was astounding in the Fresno Community, always lending a helping hand. Her celebration of life will be held at the Universalist Unitarian Church of Fresno on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers please send donations to one of the aforementioned social justice organizations and the UU Church of Fresno. Thank you.
